Real Proud recognizes 3 Joplin High Students
Three Joplin High School students were recognized by Bank of Little Rock Mortgage on Friday, October 6th, during Joplin’s varsity football game against Camdenton. The students were honored as a part of the Real Proud of Real Eagles program, sponsored by Bank of Little Rock Mortgage.
The program recognizes hard-working students who are actively involved in their community and extracurricular activities. The students honored were seniors Gabe Cravens, Makenzie Maples and Anna Nguyen.
Gabe Cravens is vice president of Student Council and a member of National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, Debate and is a Boys State alumni. He volunteers at his church and participates in the Great Day of Service. After graduation, Gabe plans to attend Missouri Southern State University and pursue a degree in Psychology and Counseling. Gage is the son of proud parents Jason and Kerry Cravens.
Makenzie Maples is a member of the girls’ soccer team and has assisted as a volunteer during the natural disasters around the community. She is taking several advanced classes and has a 4.0 grade average and will graduate with honors. After graduation, Makenzie plans to attend Missouri State University and obtain a degree in Physical Therapy. Makenzie is the daughter of proud parents Kevin and April Maples.
Anna Nguyen is the president of Student Council and a member of Sound Dimension, Show Choir, National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, ITS and Tri-M. After graduation, she plans to attend the University of Missouri-Kansas City to pursue a degree in biology with the ultimate goal of becoming a pediatrician. Anna is the daughter of proud parents Jim and Mai Nguyen.
Bob and Annette Goodall with the Joplin branch of the Bank of Little Rock Mortgage presented the $300 contribution in the names of these students.
