Real Proud Recognizes Three Cabot Students

Three Cabot students were recognized by Bank of Little Rock Mortgage on Friday,
August 31st, during the Cabot high school football game. The students were honored as a part of the Real Proud of Real Panthers program, sponsored by Bank of Little Rock Mortgage.

The program recognizes students for their achievements in and out of the classroom.  The students honored were Lauren Turner, Caitlyn White and Alexis Motes.

Lauren Turner displays the true meaning of a student athlete.  She has been named to the Arkansas High School All Star Cross Country Team and the All Arkansas Track and Field Team.  Lauren currently has the 4th fastest recorded time in the 800 meter run in Arkansas history. She has a 4.1 GPA and scored a 30 on the ACT. After graduation, Lauren plans to attend college on an athletic scholarship for track and field and cross country and major in biology. Lauren is the daughter of proud parents Maria and Larry Turner.

Caitlyn White has a 3.95 GPA and has received the Presidential Award for Academics every year from junior high to high school.  She has been recognized for her excellence in directing and choreography and is a member of National Honor Society and the AP Academy. Outside of school, Caitlyn works at Hertzog Family Eye Care and volunteers at First Baptist Church in their children's productions and during Vacation Bible school. After graduation, she plans to attend Arkansas State University and major in biology with a focus in Pre-Optometry.  Caitlyn is the daughter of proud parents Carol and Richard White.

Alexis Motes has a 3.6 GPA.  She was awarded the Academic Achievement Year 1 and 2 and is a member of Health Occupations Students of America and the Hello Club.  Alexis volunteers every week day after school at the Cabot Lighthouse Christian Academy and helps wherever she is needed.  Her teachers describe her as a great worker, always willing to help and kind to everyone she is around.  After graduation, Alexis plans to attend Arkansas State University at Beebe and major in nursing.  Alexis is the daughter of proud parents Erica and Jonathan Motes.

Dr. James Hertzog with the Cabot Panther Foundation accepted a $450 contribution from Bank of Little Rock Mortgage Branch Manager Steve Jackson, which is part of the $2,700 Bank of Little Rock Mortgage will donate to the foundation during this school year.
